The people who work in the office are all great, kind, and welcoming. I’d recommend anyone to see Dr. Munson.
Dr Munson is kind and caring, and sincere and I cannot thank enough for all he’s done for me. Many of my root canal that I have had in Japan 15+ years ago failed and Dr Munson fixed all of them, and I’m in so much better shape now. The people who work in the office are all great, kind and welcoming. I’d recommend anyone to see Dr. Munson.

Dr. Rude…The thing that most impressed me was he caught the gum inflammation around my first root canal..
This review was for an initial consultation I had with Dr. Rude. I was super happy with how long he spent looking at my case. I did have a strange case of a dental root going past into my sinuses and he took his time to try and think through it. He was patient in discussing my prior reaction to dental anesthesia and advised me to discuss alternatives without epinephrine (which is what my new dentist had also recommended). The thing that most impressed me was he caught the gum inflammation around my first root canal (almost 10 years old) and said it could be the metal that was used. I remember going back to the endodontist in Portland who did this and telling them something was off and that my gum around that tooth was hurting. I was repeatedly dismissed by multiple people including my earlier dentist in Mill Creek saying it was my hygiene and Dr. Rude agreed the type of material used is likely causing specific inflammation in my gums around that tooth. Thanks a lot.

Dr. Munson solved a problem I’d had for years, with diligence and professionalism. with extra effort given due to Covid 19 restrictions, making the task even more difficult for him and his staff, he worked until the problem was completely resolved leaving me pain free for the first time in years. I am happy to give the practice my five-star review.
I’ve had the misfortune of needing about four root canals over the past decade. I was initially referred to Dr. Tom Rude by my general dentist, and I was amazed at his combination of exceptional skill, speed, and overall wonderful personality. He’s very focused on continuously checking to ensure the patient is at ease and not in pain. Needless to say, I returned for all of my subsequent procedures, and all were successful. I became amused that I had “my regular endodontist” and that we were on a first-name basis.
The very term “root canal” has long symbolized a horrible, torturous event, but, to the contrary, they’re painless and relatively quick. His staff are all outstanding, and I am happy to give the practice my five-star review.

Dr. Rude was very patient and considerate.
I went in to get a root canal and while I was nervous at first, Dr. Rude was very patient and considerate. At some point near the start I needed my crown removed, but we weren’t certain if it was stuck on with temporary or permanent cement, but he was willing to delay and call my other dentist in order to find out before having to drill right through that expensive crown, which I greatly appreciated!

Had 2 procedures done here, both went well and were completely painless. Both docs know what they’re doing and everyone in the office is very friendly. The second time I came in I had my infant with me and they were even able to calm him down when he got fussy.

The staff was amazing from the front office to the dental assistant…
So I was referred to them by my dentist, Minahan Dental, to see if my nerves in my tooth were still ok after finding a thin crack down the middle of my right back molar. The staff was amazing from the front office to the dental assistant to Dr. Rude. Dr. Rude walked me through everything he was going to be doing for my root canal. He made my visit so comforting and at ease. I highly highly recommend this dentistry office to my friends and family. Thanks again to the Dr. Rude and his staff for everything!

Just wanted to let anyone who may need a root canal, that Kirkland Endodontics is truly the best! Over the last 10 years, I’ve had one by Dr. Munson, and two by Dr. Rude. Had a procedure done just a few weeks ago, and it was another great experience. Each time i was treated, they were informative, proffesional, caring, and i could tell, really expert in their work while they were actually performing the procedure. Root canal procedures are very precise, and you want to go to someone like these two, who are experienced and skilled in what they do, and you can trust that they will do the absolute best work possible every time. I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else.

This was my first trip to this office. I was so nervous when I got there but the staff was amazing and welcomed me. They took me to my room and then the doctor came in(Dr Munson)I got so nervous again but he took the time to explain the procedure, which made me more comfortable. And boy let me tell you he can give good shots. I never even felt him give me the shots(and 1 was in the roof of my mouth). So I have to give kudos and I would definitely go back here again.
They were very fast and were done in an hour…
My mom was referred to Dr Rude two weeks ago for an emergency root canal. The dental assistant Stacey was very kind and gentle with mom who was in a wheelchair.
My mom was very nervous but Dr Rude explained everything very well to her that she felt a lot more comfortable with the root canal.
They were very fast and were done in an hour. She was a little sore the next day from the root canal but she isn’t scared anymore. My mom has not had anymore pain from that tooth.

It was painfree and pleasant…
I recently had my 2nd root canal. The first was several years ago and I was sent to Dr. Rude by my dentist in the same building. I had dreaded the procedure and put it off for years. It was painfree and pleasant. The staff was all polite and kind.
Shortly after that my daughter had a deep cavity the dentist thought should have a root canal and sent us back to Dr. Rude. He did the exam but decided that she shouldn’t have one due to her age and the size of her roots and being so young. He sent a filling material with us to the dentist and communicated his treatment plan we with them directly. I appreciated his thoughtful approach, to this day she doesnt have any problems with that tooth.
Fast forward many years and I broke a tooth, went to my new dentist and was not happy with their work. They said I may need a root canal and we scheduled for the dentist to do it, but after the awful work she did on my crown prep and my tooth becoming more painful that ever I cancelled and went back to Dr. Rude for the root canal, I no longer trusted my dentist. Wow! That was seriously the most pleasant dental procedure I’ve ever had. I barely felt the needles from the novocain. He said I may have pain afterwards – there was none!
Again at this visit the office staff was very polite and friendly.
I recommend this office highly!
I have had two root canals done by Dr Munson and he is amazing.
I have had two root canals done by Dr Munson and he is amazing. they made sure I was comfortable and pain free through the entire procedure. Both times I was in extreme pain and they were able to get me in for the procedure the following day.

…I have seen Dr Munson and his assistant Michelle for treatment multiple times in last couple months, Michelle was wonderful, she’s very knowledgable and made me feel very comfortable. Dr Munson and Michelle work together amazingly well, I leave knowing I have received amazing care.
I used to see another endodontist and after a failed root canal, I decided to switch and I am very glad…
I just had my first exam and typically it’s better to write reviews after more than one visit but my experience was just THAT outstanding. I appreciate the way that Dr. Rude explained everything to me and told me what my different options are. I am actually looking forward to my root canal next Tuesday (weird of me, I know)
I came to this office as a recommendation from one of my co-workers and can see why she spoke so highly of them. I used to see another endodontist and after a failed root canal, I decided to switch and I am very glad that I did. Not to mention, this office is extremely clean and the (front and back office) staff is very knowledgeable.
UPDATE: 4/11/16 had my re-treatment on Tuesday of last week and was told that the abscess would go away in a couple of months but he did such a good job it feels like it will be gone by next week already! I had a completely painless experience and Dr. Rude was extremely nice. He answered all of my questions and was very personable. I recommend this office 100%

Dr. Rude and his staff was so professional when I came into get my root canal done. It was my third root canal so I wasn’t worried about the procedure. The other dentists who did my first two root canals didn’t do as good as a job as Dr. Rude. Dr. Rude used a large microscope to do the root canal & he explained to me that he could see other roots & cracks in the tooth, so that there would be less problems later. I love the laughing gas. I did not feel any pain at all during the procedure or after the procedure. Great job Kirkland Endodontics & especially Dr. Rude. Thank you!

Why do some of the best endodontists have the strangest names? Maybe they are getting even for all the teasing as kids? I mean really how much more powerful can you be than the guy who does the root canal? LOL
Seriously I saw Tom J. Rude, DDS, PS and he was really nice, totally professional. The office is lush and calming, the staff is caring and professional. I lucked out and didn’t need a root canal. Yay!
On top of that my insurance didn’t bill properly so they charged me for the visit of course, but then I got a surprise refund check from their office because the insurance finally paid out. But don’t even get me started on insurance companies!

I’ve had 2 root canals by Dr Rude over a couple of years time and he was great! Everything was explained to me very clearly before and after the procedure. The staff is very friendly and the office is beautiful. I highly recommend going to Kirkland Endodontics (Dr Munson or Dr Rude) for your root canal!

I will always recommend Dr. Munson for any endodontic care….
Dr. Munson was very thorough on his exam and located the problem in a few minutes. Usually I require several injections to get numb. He nailed it with one injection. No pun intended. The root canal was clean and the final restoration performed by a colleague. No further issues have occurred with the tooth repaired. I will always recommend Dr. Munson for any endodontic care.
